My name is Sofia Vashchenko, I'm an artist from Zaporizhzhia, currently living and working in Kyiv. I describe my style as figurative painting — where realistic images meet the symbolic. I work on both commissioned pieces and my own original artworks. My paintings are built on contrasts, fine detail, and a certain feeling that exists between the painting and the space it lives in.
I paint because I genuinely love bringing warmth and joy to people. My goal is for every painting to become a source of comfort and beauty for its owner. I only create what I would happily hang in my own home.
For over 12 years I've been painting personal stories onto canvas — capturing meaningful moments, favourite places, or things that are close to someone's heart. I have a borderline obsessive attention to detail, because I believe that's where the magic happens. My works are held in private collections across Ukraine, the UK, Norway, the US, France and the Philippines. Art, to me, is more than just decoration — it should be a living story that inspires you every day.
